Mim Rushworth
Hi! I’m Mrs Rushworth.
I joined Waitoki School in 2022 and love the special family feel our school has to offer.
I began teaching in 2010 in the UK after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education. I have taught children aged 3-7 and have a great knowledge of the early years which supports my practise further up school as I believe strong foundations are key.
I moved to New Zealand in 2018 and taught at Birkdale Primary School before moving to Waitoki. I am passionate about teaching and love being able to inspire and excite my learners. I have strengths in literacy, technology, phonics, music and behavioural intervention. I am passionate about making sure no one is left behind and enjoy supporting children with diverse learning needs.
When I’m not at school I love spending time with my husband Michael and our three boys Adam, Aston and Abel exploring beautiful Aotearoa.
