I joined the team at Waitoki School late in 2022, soon after we relocated into the area. Prior to this I worked at Hobsonville School for 10 years, where I taught all ages from Year 0 through to Year 8. I have a Bachelor of Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, both gained from the University of Auckland. I take every opportunity I can to learn and grow as a teacher so I can continue to teach to the very best of my ability.

I am passionate about primary education and I love teaching all year levels. I find it incredibly rewarding helping our youngsters to reach their potential. Seeing children develop emotionally, socially and academically into amazing young people is an incredible privilege.

In my classroom I constantly strive to develop an environment of care, challenge and responsibility. My job is to equip our tamariki with the skills and values they need to be able to cope (and flourish) in the world they will live in. This means providing opportunities for problem solving, challenge, failure, risk taking, relationship building and communicating.

When I’m not at school I enjoy spending quality time with my whanau. I have three active young boys who keep my very busy! We love to adventure in the outdoors as a family – we particularly enjoy spending time at the beach, bike riding and motocross.
