Country Fair- student led stall holders.

This year we are offering the opportunity for students to have a stall at country fair for a set time period for a fee of $15 per session.

We will have 6 sessions available at following times:

Table 1: 11am to 12-30pm 

Table 1: 12-30pm to 2pm

 

Table 2: 11am to 12-30pm 

Table 2: 12-30pm to 2pm

 

Table 3: 11am to 12.30pm 

Table 3: 12-30pm to 2pm

 

If your child is interested in having a session , please complete the attached form in detail, and once we have all the submissions in we will contact you to confirm if you have secured a spot.

Have your say about the future of Waitoki School. The Board will soon be developing the strategic direction for Waitoki School for 2027 - 2028. Community consultation is a key part of our commitment to ensuring that the school's vision, values, and goals reflect the aspirations of our students, whānau, and the wider Waitoki community, alongside implementing the New Zealand curriculum and embracing the unique culture of Aeoteroa. By working together, we can create a strategic plan that builds on our strengths and addresses the needs of our tamariki, ensuring they receive the best possible education and are well-prepared for the future.

The production count down is on and we are looking forward to seeing our tamariki shine. 

There are three performances;

Tuesday 8th September Matinee performance at 12.30pm - Doors open at 12pm.

Wednesday 9th September Evening performance at 6pm - Doors open at 5.30pm

Thursday 10th September Evening performance at 6pm - Doors open at 5.30pm

For the evening performances, please could you bring your children to these locations at the following times;

Main cast: Go to Rūma Waru (R8) at 5pm 

School children: Go to Rūma Whitu (R7) at 5.15pm 

Juniors from Rūma Whā, Rima & Ono: Go to Rūma Ono (R6) at 5.30pm

Back stage crew (props/sound/lighting): Go to Rūma Whitu (R7) at 5.30pm

Parents do not need to stay on site during the performances if they do not have tickets for that night. 

The Fundraising team will be running a Pop up cafe in the hall from 12pm (Tuesday) and 5.30pm (Wednesday & Thursday). To avoid costume disasters, we respectfully ask that performers wait until after the performance has finished to enjoy a yummy treat. 

We anticipate each performance will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and all tamariki need to stay until the end as they are involved in the finale. You can collect your children from the classroom where they were dropped off once they have changed out of their costumes. 

We understand that some of our younger performers may be tired after the evening performances so you are welcome to bring them into school a little later, by 10.30am, on Thursday and Friday morning if they need a sleep in. You do not need to send a Skool Loop on those two days if they are coming in a little later. 

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at the school office from Thursday 27th August.  

If you have any questions about this, please reach out to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.

We have an exciting opportunity to participate in the September Football Programme, hosted by South Kaipara Football Club - AT OUR SCHOOL!

The dates for our school are as follows:

Friday 4th September - Years 1-2 & 3-4 - Afterschool Session 2.30pm 

Friday 18th September - Years 1-2 & 3-4 - Before School 7:30am

Tuesday 22nd September - Years 3-4 & 5-6 - Afterschool Session 2.30pm 

 All sessions will be on the school field or the turf weather dependent.

 

The aim of the programme is to provide students with fun, engaging football sessions that build confidence, develop fundamental skills, encourage teamwork, and increase physical activity across our local school communities.

 

This is a really good opportunity for our tamariki to give football a go!

Please note there is also no cost for these sessions.
