Just a quick update regarding the Sushi 4U service.

Due to the current fuel supply situation, Sushi4U has had to temporarily pause their Thursday deliveries to Waitoki School until further notice.

However, they are still able to continue supplying your Wednesday service as usual.

They have asked me to pass on their apologies for any inconvenience, and they hope to resume Thursday deliveries once the fuel situation becomes more stable.

I will keep you updated if anything changes.

Year 6 -8 Senior Camp – Shakespear Lodge

Kia ora Whānau, 

With our senior camp fast approaching we are now asking for some further information and for some compulsory forms to be completed.

Please see the attached letter for full details, please complete the consent form, student information form, medical requirements and then click on the links and complete the camp risk acknowledgement and dietary requirements.

Also attached is a payment booklet if you wish to pay by instalments and the gear list showing everything your child will need to bring to camp.

We are really looking forward to giving your child another awesome EOTC opportunity!  If for any reason you do not intend on your child attending camp please see their teacher to discuss this.  

Please come along to the Parent Camp Information Hui on Thursday 26 March at 2.30pm in Rūma Tekau where we can answer any question you may have.

YEAR 7 & 8 KAIPARA COMBINED SCHOOLS SUMMER SPORTS DAY

MONDAY 30TH MARCH 2026 (SAVE DAY - TUESDAY 31 MARCH 2026)

 

Our Year 7 and 8 students will be taking part in the Kaipara Summer Sports Day on Monday 30 March 2026 at Rautawhiri Park, Helensville. (Save day Tuesday 31 March 2026).

 We will be leaving school around 8.40am as the day will start at 9.30am and will be back in time for end of day. The students will be transported in Waitoki Staff vehicles.

 Please make sure your child comes to school on time and goes directly to their class for the roll to be taken. Your child will need to bring with them a packed lunch, large water bottle, hat and sunblock, Waitoki T-shirt (to be worn for the day), warm jumper, waterproof jacket and suitable running shoes (not crocs) would be best. 

This is a fun inter-school event; schools will not be competing against each other. There will be mixed school teams of around 20-25 children in each, compiled before the day. There will be separate Year 7 and Year 8 teams and the students will rotate between games (Kickball, 3-Bat, Softball, Turbo Touch, Ultimate Frisbee and Non-stop Cricket) each game will be around 40 min long. 

We do not need any parent help for the day, thankyou, the classroom teacher will be accompanying our students and will be rotating between the games. There are also teachers from each school running every game, so there is plenty of supervision.

 The students have been practicing some of the games at school, so are all very excited to participate in this day! 

Please go to Skool Loop: Setting/Groups and select Kaipara Summer Sports Year 7/8 only, then go to forms and sign the permission slip by Thursday 26 March 2026 to approve your child attending this day off site and being transported by school staff.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in playing netball this year.

Currently we don’t have enough players to have Waitoki teams.

However, there may be the opportunity to have some composite teams with Kaukapakapa School.

If you have expressed interest in netball, and this is something you would be happy doing, please let us know by heading to Skool Loop forms, selecting "Netball 2026"  & complete the permission slip before Wednesday 18th March.

We are also still looking for coaches and managers. If you are able to commit to this, please email me: office@waitoki.school.nz

Your child will need to bring with them a packed lunch, large water bottle, hat and sunblock, Waitoki T-shirt (to be worn for the day), warm jumper, waterproof jacket and suitable running shoes (not crocs) would be best.

There will be separate Year 5 and Year 6 teams, and the students will rotate between games (T-ball, Kickball, 3-Bat, Scatter ball, Long Ball and Non-stop Cricket) each game will be around 40 min long.

The children are all very excited as some of them attended this event before and have been sharing how fun it was!
