Chelsea Brown
I started working at Waitoki School in 2014. Prior to joining the team at Waitoki I studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary Specialisation) at the University of Auckland and then worked at Lincoln Heights School in Massey once I completed my degree. I also have a passion for 21st Century learning and have my Postgrad in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning).
I enjoy teaching all aspects of the curriculum and have a particular interest in Literacy, ICT and PE and Health. I am currently our sports coordinator at Waitoki School and enjoy seeing our students push the limits in the Kaipara sporting events, being the ‘best they can be!’ I am passionate about discovery learning as it allows students to unlock and utilise their natural curiosity through problem solving and drawing on prior knowledge and experiences. When I’m not at school I enjoy spending quality time with my whanau and supporting my three children (Paris, Levi and Ice) in their hobbies of dancing, fashion, league, basketball and tag.
