Kia Ora,

I feel privileged to have joined the Waitoki School teaching team and family feel school community in 2023. I had taught at Dairy Flat School before moving to Waitoki.

I emigrated from England in 2006 and so New Zealand has been home to me for many years now.

My passion has always been to teach children and I began my teaching journey in 1989. I achieved in the UK the N.N.E.B Diploma and Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Teaching. I have experience in both ECE & Primary years.

I am an enthusiastic primary school teacher who is committed to supporting growth in children and enabling them to realise and release their full potential. I enjoy teaching all areas of the NZ Curriculum, but especially enjoy P.E and Drama.

My heart for each child I teach is that they will feel loved, safe, respected and valued for whom they are. To equip them with the tools to become confident and independent learners that will flourish, blossom, enjoy school, and grow a desire to learn attitude.

My aspiration in each class I teach, is that everyone will learn how to respect and value each other and the individual qualities they bring to the class. And where we see ourselves as whanau.

I am excited about teaching at Waitoki School and journeying with families to support and give the best education we can together for your child.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy quality time with my whanau, beach walks and camping.
